Contractors zero in on ride-on mowers
Kennards Groundcare's large fleet of ride-on mowers is helping contractors of all sizes meet short and long term needs.
As well as having zero turn mowers in various sizes, the specialist equipment division of the Kennards Hire group also has broad area mowers with a 3.335m cutting deck and outfront mowers with a 1.8m deck can also be hired.
The road maintenance division of the huge infrastructure services company, Downer EDI, hired a 1.6m (62 in) mower from Kennards Groundcare to maintain roadside grass areas.
"We have had some really long grass, but this machine goes through it very well," said operator Joe Bayada.
"You can get right up close to fences and edges and the great turning circle makes it excellent for median strips."
Mac Stewart, who operates The Edge Lawn Services, regularly uses a 1.3m (48in) mower to maintain the grounds of a large industrial company.
"Most of my work is residential work, so it's fantastic being able to hire this so easily," he said.
"Kennards has been looking after us for seven years, and they are very prompt, very
efficient and they supply good equipment.
"This is not an easy site - it has a lot of trees and slopes - but I get through the job quickly."
Kennards Groundcare, with hire centres in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, also has equipment for renovating, dethatching, topdressing, seeding, spraying and other grounds work.
